  • How to download GTA V Android

The Android edition is still in beta and doesn't include full features such as online multiplayer mode but major features are already available.

     

    As 68Gb is crazy and many modern premium smartphones hasn't so big internal storage RockStar Games needed to cut down the size as much as possible and optimize it for mobile.

    They successfully managed to reduce the size to only 4Gb(still biggest game for Android) and optimized controls for touch screen, still you can use wide range of Bluetooth gamepads to play GTA V on Android.

     

    It was also required to optimize performance maximally, RockStar still managed to optimize GTA even more and Android version of GTA V runs smoothly with premium and budget Android devices with min 3Gb of Ram and modern quad-core CPU, compatible with all major 4 types of GPUs including Nvidia's Tegra and Qualcomm's Adreno.

  • How to install

    Much like Epic bypassed Google Play and released Fortnite outside of it, similarly RockStar choose to publish GTA V for Android on a separate website instead of Google's Play Store, at least for beta version.

     

    Because of this, you need to install GTA V on Android manually, but installation is so easy that even beginners can easily do it under 2 minutes. If you have installed a game on Windows PC then it will be even more easier for you.

     

    All you have to do is get required files on your mobile and start the installation process, download apk and cache archive from the GTA 5 Android website and wait for them to fully complete. As zip offers good quality of compression, it's only 2.5Gb required to download GTA V files for Android.

     

    Now that you have all files downloaded simply decompress the archive, move the obb folder to Android->obb folder and begin installation of apk.

    That's it, not even 2 minutes is required for the installation to be completed and you're good to go!

     

    When the game launches you can use your Rockstar account but as multiplayer isn't yet available you can freely tap Offline button and play GTA V Android offline.

    GTA 5 Android 2022 Update

    Update: GTA 5 Android has been updated in 2022 to fit new smartphones wit new Android OS such as Samsung Galaxy S22, Google Pixel 6 Pro, Redmi note 8 and others.
